Even More Pages of Web Site Fun
Hi Everyone
Your coaches have been busy creating ideas for land training and ways of keeping you, fit, motivated and interested. WE have been building new pages with the membership section and there is now a great deal of both internally created content and links to other sites with great ideas to keep you going.
The latest two pages are ‘Make Training Fun at Home, and ’Keeping Up with The Batchelors’ – Both of these pages are aimed at mobilising the Orion community into becoming active contributors to the site, sharing you own ideas and what you are up to at the moment, and ultimately keeping a record of what will hopefully be a unique experience in all of our lives.
Other pages include land work plans, tips on warming up, coaching thoughts, technical tips, and the list goes on
Please do come and look at your club’s website and sign to join and access all the additional great information and support – that includes 1:1 video chats with your favourite coach
If you are unsure about joining please email Robin@orionswimmingclub.co.uk with any concerns that you have
Happy Exercising
Cheers Robin
if you are an Orion member you can join our Team pages and for a small fee get access to a landtraining programme and one to one guidance with one of our coach team- keeping you motivated , focused and fit with specific exercises and learning so you return to the pool raring to go.
Please light a candle to remember Vicki https://gratefulness.org/light-a-candle/
include “Vicki” in the message to group all our candles together
All Club activities postponed
Dear Orion Members,
Sadly, the Committee have decided that the club must pause all activity until the current coronavirus situation means it is safe and advisable for swimming to start again. This takes effect immediately.
The latest guidance Swim England, which they published yesterday after considering the latest announcements from Government, is that they are “strongly advising clubs to consider cancelling or postponing activity – including events – until the end of May” . The Committee feel it is sensible and prudent to follow this advice in order to best protect our swimmers, coaches and the wider community. The already announced closures of the University, Bluecoat and King Edward’s pools mean that, in any event, we cannot provide sufficient pool time to run a sensible timetable.
We will be posting links to landwork, self care videos etc so we will aim to be back stonger and ready for the next challenge
Thank you for your understanding and keep well
All sessions at KE canceled until further notice
