The club

Orion Swimming Club is based in South and West Birmingham. We offer swimming lessons from beginners upwards and competitive swimming in several swimming leagues. We have swimming sessions 7 days a week at King Edward’s School pools, Edgbaston; Blue Coat School; Harborne Leisure centre; Morris Centre and Langley Baths.

Orion SC are a SwimMark accreditation is Swim England’s recognised kitemark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable affiliated clubs.

Our Mission

The aim of Orion swimming club is to provide the young people of South and West Birmingham with a Swim England registered competitive swimming club, and promote the sport of swimming in a first-class environment.

Team members are given the opportunity to pursue their goals in the sport of swimming to a level to which they aspire, and are capable of achieving. Swimmers are supported and valued from novice to National level, in realizing their potential.

Our Vision

Beyond mastering stroke and race skills and achieving physical fitness, our swimmers will gain confidence, sportsmanship, discipline and understanding of link between hard work and success. They will also learn the value of teamwork, and how to cope with success and failure.

Our aim is to make swimming an enjoyable and important part of life for both swimmers and their families.
